Medical Massage/Insurance Cases

Heartline Massage Therapy accepts personal injury and worker’s compensation cases in the State of New Mexico – on a case-by-case basis.  In the event of an injury sustained in a car accident, your car insurance should pay for massage therapy as long as you have “Medpay” included in your coverage. For an injury that has occurred on the job, the State worker’s compensation should pay for therapy. Amy will file the insurance paperwork for reimbursement, so there is no out of pocket expense for your treatments. Typically, you will come for treatments once a week until improvement is seen in your pain/dysfunction. If you do not have Medpay or if another party is covering your medical bills, I’d be happy to refer you to a massage therapist that takes “3rd Party” Insurance Cases that involve an attorney.

Health Insurance

It is not common for Health Insurance in the State of New Mexico to pay for massage therapy. There are a few policies that will cover massage. Please contact me with your insurance provider name and number, and I would be happy to research your particular plan. If calling your insurance provider directly, make sure you ask about coverage for massage therapy performed by a licensed massage therapist. Sometimes massage therapy is covered, but only if performed by a chiropractor, physician, or physical therapist.  Amy is an out-of-network provider, so check if you have out of network coverage on your plan.
